Whidbey Island Weddings Real Wedding: Brooke + Will’s Summer Wedding at The Wayfarer on Whidbey Island

Every wedding has elements that make it special.  But, if you’re lucky, you will have elements of your wedding that make it extraordinary.  Brooke and Will’s summer wedding at The Wayfarer on Whidbey Island was made up of those extraordinary moments – those seemingly tiny details that unfold together to create the most magical day.

Brooke chose to do two first looks for her wedding day: the first was with her father, who waited on the deck of the bridal cottage to get that first look at his gorgeous girl.  His reaction had us in tears!  Her second first look was with Will, the lucky man waiting for her around the hedge.

Brooke and Will’s one-year-old daughter, Daisy, did her best to steal the show, and we are in love with the adorable images of her laughing under her mama’s veil and happily dancing in her daddy’s arms.

We love the contrast of Brooke’s gorgeous red hair with her white lace dress and its delicate button-and-mesh back, and the fun images of Brooke and Will lounging outside The Wayfarer’s Airstream trailer!

Brooke and Will opted to share their vows beneath delicate chandeliers in The Wayfarer’s white-washed ceremony hall.  We love the intimacy this imparted on their ceremony.  Brooke and Will’s family and friends enjoyed post-ceremony appetizers and cocktails in the adjacent barn, and lawn games like bocce ball and giant Jenga in the late afternoon sun.

The bride and groom rang the farm’s dinner bell to gather their guests, who then enjoyed dinner at a row of handmade farm tables in the orchard.  Eucalyptus and roses ran the length of the tables set with mismatched china and white linen napkins.  There’s nothing quite like dinner at The Wayfarer on a summer night, especially when there is so much love and happiness to celebrate!

Post-dinner dancing took place under stars and sparkling string lights, and guests enjoyed sweet s’mores – favors from the bride and groom – over the fire pit.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect day, which is exactly what you get when a beautiful couple and a gorgeous venue come together to create one incredible, extraordinary celebration.

Congratulations Brooke and Will!  And thank you to Luma Weddings for the beautiful imagery.  To see more of this gorgeous wedding, check out this feature on 100 Layer Cake!
