Jennifer and Tommy’s September wedding on Whidbey Island was an elegant mix of tradition, culture, family and fun and we were so honored to be a part of it!
Friends and family of the beautiful couple enjoyed a beautiful fall day at The Wayfarer, a historic five-acre farm built in 1913 and located on the south end of Whidbey Island. Hand-lettered chalkboard and mirror signs shared ceremony and dinner details with Jennifer and Tommy’s guests, who were gifted with favors from Theo, a Seattle-based chocolatier. The Wayfarer’s cute and curious resident alpacas entertained from afar and fun was had taking swings at a piñata strung over the outdoor dance floor as the sun set over Bayview Valley.
Jennifer radiated joy in a dress with a stunning beaded bodice, full satin skirt and Jimmy Choo heels. Her bouquet was a beautiful accessory of blush and off-white florals mixed with fragrant eucalyptus.
There were two particularly special details of Jennifer and Tommy’s celebration that we loved most: the first was the traditional Chinese tea ceremony that honored Tommy’s heritage and the second was the exchange of Korean hanboks – traditional Korean dress – to honor Jennifer’s. These special exchanges were lovely moments that made Jennifer and Tommy’s wedding all the more personal and unique.
We love the images of Jennifer and Tommy ringing the dinner bell to welcome their family and friends to dinner! Guests dined at an impressively long row of The Wayfarer’s handmade farm tables, beneath vintage chandeliers suspended from orchard trees, before celebrating the night away beneath delicate string lights and the stars on the dance floor. Jennifer and Tommy’s wedding was a sweet and joyful occasion, and a lovely reflection of the happy couple!
